Split-tray sorters are used frequently for Postal and document sorting. The Postal documents are discharged vertically from a carrying tray, where they lay flat, and dropped directly into a tote, carton, container or postal bag, saving all additional handling. DistriSort has installed 5 restmail systems at a large multinational postal company. We also installed the sorting of postal logistics at a large German bank for sorting the inbound and outbound mailflow.

DistriSort installs solutions together with the integration of type of shute (exit), videocamera, OCR, (hand)barcodescanner, conveyors, automatic and/or manual infeed (combinations are possible) mechanical containerlifts and much more. The dedicated software department of DistriSort is Distrisoft Controls. They made it all work together for the customer, visualized in a state-of-the-art automation solution.
